Conference week here at Aber has been going well thus far. Cousins are here – giggly and hyperactive – and also benefiting from the preaching we’ve heard from Grandpops so far, Taid preached three sermons on mortifying sin. This morning he mentioned Mr. Murray’s grave which has the end of Mathew 1:21 on it: “…and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” That is what Jesus has saved his people from… their sins. Why would I ever want to turn back to something I’ve been saved from!?

Still ahead of us we have Uncle Glyn (it’s all relatives here this week) doing a seminar on daily reading the bible and praying. And then the first great hall meeting tonight. Hundreds of Christian folk is what is essentially a huge theatre, a huge privilege.
